King Crossing 1st Annual Kids Fishing Tournament

Our group was invited to help out at the King Crossing 1st Annual Kids Fishing Tournament to be held on Saturday May 22nd.

This neighborhood is located just north of Stockdick School Rd and east of Katy Hockley Cut Off Rd. Kids 15 and under from that neighborhood will be fishing their neighborhood ponds for prizes and fun.

TPWD will be on hand to do some demonstrations and teaching clinics, after that the kids will have a small tournament. They have asked our group for volunteers to walk around and help the kids land fish, weigh fish and teach proper fish care, things like that and other jobs. This is all being organized by our club member Richard Odowick and his wife. So if you want to help out or donate some new tackle, or do whatever you can, please let Richard and myself know.

This would be a great chance for our club to get out and help in our community. We could bring our banners and possibly pick up a few new members or just have the joy of helping kids catch fish. I encourage everyone and anyone to help. I’m sure it would be fine to bring your spouse as well. Please help if you can.
